Welcome to Aitor Ameztegui website
I am currently developing my Ph.D. at the Forest Sciences Center of Catalonia (CTFC) under supervision of Lluís Coll.
I studied Forestry Engineering in the University of Valladolid and did a Master in Forest Systems at the
University of Lleida (Spain). Currently, I am interested in the understanding
of the forest from an ecological point of view. My research is focused
on the study of forest dynamics through modelisation of the main
demographic traits and on the responses of trees to ecological
processes (competition for resources, facilitation). I am also
interested in the role of land-use changes on forest dynamics and expansion.
